After about a week in Perth, I moved down the Swan River to Fremantle -- kind of a suburb of Perth and the ocean port for Perth (North Fremantle has the docks for shipping). It has two wonderful maritime museums and is filled with classic 1800's architecture. It has a much more laid back "vibe" than Perth and locals prefer to call it "Freo"
